CPSBCs goal is to support registrants in delivering safe and effective care. The personalized reports aim to give registrants a better understanding of their own prescribing practices and how they can enhance their care.
For security purposes, the report can only be sent to the email address associated with the registrant's College account.
What the report looks like
Personalized reports contain an overview of
- number of antibiotic prescriptions
- number of patients prescribed antibiotics
- proportion of prescribing composed of antibiotics
- graphs that illustrate the antibiotic prescribing trends over previous quarters
- average antibiotic prescribing amounts of the practice-based comparator group
This report does not examine the specific classes of antibiotics prescribed.
- patient-level summary of a registrants prescribing practices of controlled drugs over a three-month period
- record of every community dispense of controlled and targeted medications
- opioids, benzodiazepines, stimulants, hypnotics, and barbiturates registered under the registrants CPSID
- prescribing annotations
- record of every community dispense of controlled and targeted medications

There are limitations to this data
The prescribing data in these reports is sourced from the , a platform maintained by the Ministry of Health. These reports focus solely on the volume of prescribing within the registrants practice, and they draw no conclusions regarding the appropriateness of prescribing or adherence to clinical guidelines and scientific literature. They are not used in case finding to enroll registrants in CPSBC's quality assurance programs.
CPSBC does not have the mandate or intention to direct individual patient care
The provided information is for registrants personal use and is meant to supplement their approach to prescribing and overall patient care. These reports contain only one facet of the complex care the registrants provide their patients. CPSBC makes no assumptions about an individuals prescribing, nor does it track or monitor the prescribing by individual registrants or classes of registrants.
